The Food Cellar

Practically situated adjacent to both the kitchen and the castle’s entrance, this room was probably used to store wine, beer and food.

While many foodstuffs were probably hung from rings in the ceiling to keep them away from rats, there would also have been sacks, barrels, baskets and chests stacked along the walls.
