Theme: Weapons, armour & archery.

Time for our popular theme days during the summer where we focus on a particularly exciting topic from the Middle Ages! A theme with an obvious place at Glimmingehus is the audience favorite weapons, armor & archery.

For two days you can get a full insight into the lives of medieval soldiers. Try making chain mail, try archery, measure your strength in fighting games, paint your coat of arms and practice for a tournament!

Also on site is the reenactment group Albrechts Bössor, which shows a Nordic soldier camp in the late 1300s with a connection to the Hanseatic cities of the time. Meet Swedish and German soldiers with families, as well as the craftsmen’s group! Here they are happy to show and tell about their equipment and function:)
