Follow Jönsson - The Food Cellar

We are now in the cellar where all of the castle’s food and drink was stored.

During Margareta and Ulfstand’s time, this room was packed with chests, cabinets, shelves, baskets and barrels.

Some of the food was hung from the ceiling to prevent rats and mice from eating it. That didn’t stop me though. The trick was to take so little at one time that the cook was never sure if anything was missing!
