Follow Jönsson - The Shooting Loft

You are now in a space called the Shooting Loft. From this room you have good views in all directions. The windows were once larger than they are today. From here, the defenders of the castle could fire cannons, muskets and crossbows.

Fortunately the castle never faced a real war, although the occasional minor skirmish did take place. Once some soldiers stormed the castle but we stopped them by scattering spikes on the ground – we didn’t even need to fire the cannons. Come on in and I’ll show you some of the things we used in battle. They were found in the moat around the castle.
